Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Nobel Sustainability Trust (NST), a non-profit organization of Zurich, Switzerland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring public awareness to the issues of environment, especially sustainable development.

The purpose of MoU is to conduct joint research for sharing the ideas of sustainable development, exchanging research personnel and joint subject to subject researches.

The MoU was signed by President FPCCI Engnr Daroo Khan Achakzai and Chairman Nobel Sustainability Trust Prof Dr Michael Nobel on behalf of their respective organizations.

On this occasion both the signatories emphasized the importance of research in the transformation of sustainable development. Engnr Daroo Khan Achakzai highlighted the role of FPCCI pertaining to sustainable development and ensured full cooperation with Noble Sustainability Trust.

Achakzai further highlighted the Industry-Academia Linkages is the policy to achieve the environment friendly progress and socioeconomic transformation.

Meanwhile, Prof Dr Michael Nobel shared the critical situation of environment vs trade throughout globe. In order to overcome these challenges, he emphasized the importance of effective collaboration by research communities concerned with government departments.
